Having turned to photography after an accident, Jeff Thomas, an urban Iroquois in his own words, adopted it as a tool for historical, identity, and political research, as noted by Sophie Guignard in her review of Stories My Father Couldn’t Tell Me. The exhibition, spanning forty years of images and originating from a recent twenty-panel work, opened the doors to the laboratory of this photographic storyteller, for whom art is a source of healing and dialogue.
