The exhibition Traces brought together three bodies of work by Linda Rutenberg, all centered on a shared theme: the survival of natural, cultural, or hybrid environments. Sometimes presented in an installation format, the images formed an eclectic ensemble—ranging from winter landscapes in Gaspésie to closely framed, weathered walls in Mexico, and immersive forest scenes from Portugal. In this panorama, Christian Roy perceived a concern for echoing distant traditions and marginal sensory experiences.
