Le silence des murs
— Esther Bourdages
Virginie Laganière's exhibition at Occurrence revisited the "silence of the walls," inspired by an old nuclear power plant in Switzerland that has been converted into a storage facility for cultural goods belonging to museum institutions. Esther Bourdages draws a connection between this practice, which observes the "architecture of power" — the artist's trademark — and observations made by two architects: Bernard Tschumi's on the non-neutrality of buildings, and Mathias Rollot's on the necessity to decolonize the discipline.
