Watery Rewilding
— Jill Glessing
With Murderers Bar, New York–based artist Lucy Raven completed a trilogy of video installations devoted to the violence that has transformed the American West—its land and its people. Jill Glessing shares her observations of this third work, which she describes as “the most dramatic and complex of the series.” Turning to the theme of water, after addressing land and air, Lucy Raven documents the destruction of a dam and the restoration of the surrounding environment.
